Making a Difference: Celebrating Student Success in My First Year of Teaching

In my first year as a teacher, I've seen some amazing changes in my students.

This image above shows the improvement of the students they made by reading sight words regularly. Looking at how students improved with sight words, their reading scores went significantly up by 44.34% from the start to the end of the test. This shows that they're getting better at reading and reading sight words consistently improves their reading fluency and skills.

Students are now reading more smoothly and confidently. Learning these basic words is like building a strong foundation for their reading skills, which is important for doing well in school. It also makes them feel good about learning. More so, when reading sentences and informational texts, students are more familiar with some words, thus speeds up their reading fluency.
